In November of 2006 I recorded "Minor Improv."In January of 2007, I recorded a brief solo passage and called it "Neoclassical Nothingness." I really don't like to solo without music, but for this, I envisioned some sort of Baroque-type progression and tried to imply this with my solo over the the top. In 2009, I recorded a couple of videos which I placed up on Youtube. "Lydia" is something that I had thrown together to try and emphasize the Lydian mode. "Becoming a Man" is a piece that I wrote that is more cerebral in nature. There is no solo in this one, because I felt that it would detract. "Today will be a Memory" is a piece that I wrote with heavy classical influence. I put a lot of concentration into trying to get the orchestration to sound "real." Hopefully I accomplished this.
